Useful, with limits
AI tools can help summarize research, suggest ideas, draft first versions, and find patterns in data. They can also produce confident errors, reflect biases in their training data, and create privacy risks if used carelessly. Responsible use means capturing the benefits while managing those risks.
Guardrails worth setting
Human review. Treat AI output as a draft. Check facts, claims, and tone before anything is published or sent to a customer.
Data care. Avoid entering confidential or personal information into tools unless you understand how that data is stored and used, and you have the right to share it.
Transparency. Be clear with customers when they are interacting with an automated system, and provide an easy route to a person.
Accuracy over speed. Never let AI-generated content make claims about results, pricing, or capabilities that have not been verified.
Start small
Identify one or two workflows where AI could save time without increasing risk — such as summarizing internal research or generating headline variations for testing — and evaluate the results before expanding.
Keep learning
The tools and the rules around them are changing quickly. Review your guidelines regularly and stay informed about platform policies and applicable regulations.
